Springfield's Grannies

Are girls between the ages of 17 and 26 not allowed to handle a vacuum? Is it illegal? Health advisory warnings for them? Is this what they teach the boys in that separate class scenario? Vacuum 101-b.

Last night as I was doing some late night mall walking (yes I did this) I came across three stores that had closed their gates and inside were girls attempting to vacuum. One barely had 2 fingers touching the dreadful thing and a look on her face that was a combination of disgust and terror. Another was sliding it along in slow motion, Matrix style. I expected to see the Mr. Smiths standing somewhere in the store. Me I drive that machine like I am shifting gears on the track in Monte Carlo. Zoooooom.....

It was grandma fest at the theater today. I went to see Ricki and The Flash

and so did they. They must have all been Rick Springfield fans back in the day.

I went to enjoy the Mother child conflicts.

One lady was parked up on the back row saving seats for all her crew. Ok ...Ok... I only need three myself so I can make a couch, chill grandma!! In front of her there were three giggly grannies. Another was coming up the stairs trying to find her way to them in the darkened auditorium. Instead of calling her name loudly they one by one turned on their phones like little beacons and started waving them. Granny number 4 found harbor. The lights all went out as they greeted each other. The leader of the group spotted Shirley and again the beacons of light came on and Shirley safely reached the harbor. This went on for 3 more grannies. The last one sliding into her seat right as the movie started. So adorable!! I like my solitary life but how comforting to know that there is a group looking out for you.

Horatio was at the 7-11 store. There was not much other activity. Was he the last of the Crime Scene crew to leave or was there something else happening?  Not wanting him to turn his head, lower his sunglasses and ask me what I was doing there I drove on.  Then it all came together as I rolled on down the road. It was 109 outside and you could get a free Big Gulp

with the purchase of a hot-dog.

Don't stay thirsty my friends!
